The Scrapping Spot April Kit and Projects

The Scrapping Spot April Kit is now available!!!

Isnt it gorgeous!!!! I had a blast with this kit, there was so much to work with and it is one of my favorite color combinations.....plus it has Kraft cardstock, WOO HOO!!!

First I want to share my favorite project from the kit. This is a 12 x 12 canvas. First I sprayed it with Glimmer Mist in blue and brown. Once dry I drenched a piece of burlap with Modge Podge and draped it onto the canvas. When the burlap dried I sprayed again with Glimmer Mist. Then I was ready to embellish...the best part. The canvas is rather dimensional so I applied Helmar's Liquid Scrap Dots to each of the embellishments and was able to place them anywhere I wanted, I didnt have to worry about the bumps and crevices and didnt have to wait for each to dry enough to move on to the next because the Liquid Scrap Dots constistancy is like a firmer gel and things stay where you put them. The Liquid Scrap Dots made this project a possibility, I dont think I could have accomplished what I did without it! The photo is torn and crumpled, adhered with the Liquid Scrap Dots and then I used the Helmar Textured Effects on it. I used a stiff brush and applied with a circular swirl motion.

And these are my layouts and cards using the April kit:

here is a close up of the flower I made using cut outs from the patterned paper and Helmar Liquid Scrap Dots:

I even made two simple cards....my kids are always looking for Birthday Cards so I try to create those with scraps every month.

Thanks for taking a peek at my work and I hope it inspires you to create something special :)

Sneaks for The Scrapping Spot April

I have been playing with the April kit for The Scrapping Spot.....and having a blast! One of my most favorite color combinations too!

Ripple. Wild flowers. Float. Downstream. River Rock. Moss. I'm already in heaven just thinking about these words. They evoke serenity and peace...something we all need right about now. The cusp between winter and spring.

Take a look at the sneaks...

Shall we play "I SPY"?

Crate Paper Brook, Bazzill Kraft, Jenni Bowlin, Jillibean Soup, Basic Grey, My Little Shoebox, Robin's Nest...and that's not all! There's even more packed into this kit. What do YOU see?

Look for this kit in the shop on April 1st. It's no April Fool's joke. To make the deal even sweeter, starting April 1st, shipping will be only $5! WOW! A kit with shipping for only $30. Now, that's what I call amazing!

And here are some sneaks of what I have created....so far :)

Treasured Scrapbooking March 15th reveals

Ok seriously? The March kit at Treasured Scrapbooking is never ending. It sold out too. Its a sign folks, you need to subscribe to grab one of these kits, seriously! I have done 5 or 6 layouts and an altered birdhouse and I still have more than half left. So let me share some more layouts...and the birdhouse with you :)

and...the birdhouse, I just bought a plain wood one from Joanns, just a couple of bucks on sale. The trick to this whole thing was the Helmar Adhesives, made it super easy!! I mixed paint with the Textured Effects and painted the roof using a stiff brush so it left lines, made it look like grass. I used the Liquid Scrap Dots on the dew drops along the bottom so that they could lay all bumpy and not flat, and then I used the Gemstone Glue for the clear dew drops on the roof, they didnt slide while they were drying and they dried clear, awesome. I used the Acid Free Glue for the papers and the Liquid Scrapdots for the cut outs and butterfly. The only thing I was missing was the 450......sadly I am out of it. So check out my Treasured Scrapbooking/Helmar altered project:

I think I am becoming a Helmar Junkie, LOL!!!
