My Rusty Pickle Projects for September and a GIVEAWAY!!

My projects this month are quite varied! Cards, Layouts and an altered project. I had a fun time creating this and hope they inspire you too!! This month I got to work with one of the newer lines, Panama Jack, great blues/greens/yellows/browns and perfect for those summer photos!

and I did a fun birthday card with it also which was great for a male birthday...I even incorporated my first embossing with my new to me Cuttlebug (thanks LIz)

I am a gigantic fan of the CandyLand line and even though I am down to just scraps I continue to use it! I did another layout and fun card with this line:
For this layout I used the sketch for the Sept Sketch challenge on the Rusty PIckle Blog.

This is just a fun little pick me up card:

My daughter got a great picture of her dog Pizmo and I just had to do a layout with it...he is my Grand Doggie ya know!! I used the Chocolate Covered Cherries line for this layout:

My Rusty Pickle Blog Hop Project:

Happy Halloween Hanger
by Julie Walton

and here are the instructions/tutorial:

Supplies:
Embroidery Hoop
Rusty Pickle - Costume Party Line of Papers, Chipboard Frame, Buttons, Gems
Rick Rack
Stickles
Paint, Shimmerz Paint and spray
Ink

Instructions:

Wet lightly or mist one full sheet of paper and gently place it within the embroidery hoop, be careful not to tear. While paper is wet tear the excess away, leaving some showing around the edges like a ruffle.

Paint the wooden embroidery frame to your liking, dont worry about being perfect. I used Shimmerz paint and a gloss acrylic.

Spray the paper/frame with Shimmerz mist or something similar.

Cut a circle from the paper of your choice, best to be little to no pattern. Make a pumpkin face with buttons, add stickles and rick rack for the stem.

Using a chipboard open type frame, ink the entire surface with black. Spray with Shimmerz mist or something similar. Adhere to the top part of the circle.

Take a wide strip of paper of your choice and fringe it, so it looks like grass. Adhere several rows to the bottom part of the circle. Adhere your pumpkin with pop dots within the fringed paper.

Place your title within the chipboard frame. I cut out the words from a sheet of paper and cut them into squares and inked each.

Thread floss through some larger buttons, add some rick rack to the tops and adhere them within the fringed paper at the bottom, like pumpkins sitting in a field.

I added some gems and dew drops randomly in the fringed paper as well. I then cut out a pumpkin and a witch from the patterned paper and added them randomly. I dotted stickles on the chipboard frame and then added some rickrack to the top of the embroidery hoop using the closure to tie it on.

And its ready to hang! Hope you enjoyed your visit to my blog and that you were inspired by my project. I will randomly choose one comment from all of the comments left on my blog to receive a little kit with the things you need to recreate my project! So go forth and comment!

Dont forget to visit the next Rusty Pickle Chef blog for more inspiration!
