Designs by Helly

I have been playing with Helly's kits again!!! I just love the textures and elements that she uses and the colors! I had created a bunch of brag book pages for my daughter who has a very similar style to the majority of Helly's kits so thats what I used! I offered them to Helly and she was thrilled with them and is now offering them on her blog a few at a time...so if you are interested check out Designs by Helly. Meanwhile here are a few that I printed off for my daughter Katy:

This week I have been playing with Helly's newest kit "Always By My Side", I posted a layout I did earlier this week and this is my newest one featuring my friend Shannon's little girl Chloe and her Grams:

Rusty Pickle Amazing Race - Final Project

WOO HOO I finished the Rusty Pickle Amazing Race!!!!! Clue # 7 brought us over the ocean to Australia!!!! We are camped out at Scrapping Outback, check us out, we are world travelers now, LOL!!
So our project this time was:
“For your final assignment, you get to use your choice of the three remaining lines from your box of Rusty Pickle goodness… Rockin’ America, Candy Land or Under the Stars.
You will be creating a Party Ensemble with the line of your choice. Your party needs to include a sign, centerfold, party favors, invitations and thank yous. Be sure to post a link to your gallery entry on this thread.”

Starting at noon, July 7th and ending at noon, July 10th (Mountain Standard Time)

I went with the Rockin' America line and a birthday party for America, otherwise known as 4th of July. For my Centerpiece I made a cake!!! From cardboard and decorated it..hey at least it doesnt have any calories!!! My sign was done on a canvas, my invites are firecrackers, my party favors are noisemakers/shakers, which I put the kids names on and they now own them.....and I will make sure they take them home too, LOL!!
I also did the Thank You cards.

So here is my final project.....and the waiting begins!!!

Rusty Pickle Amazing Race - Leg 6

Our Rusty Pickle Clue led us to Scrapbook Doodles and our assignment was to create a recipe book using the tab cards and the French Market line AND it had to be 'fabric bound'. Ok, I am not much of a cook, I only do it when I have to and nothing fancy schmanzy either, just the basics....so time to think out of the box..........and I came up with My Recipe 4 Grandparenthood ;)
As far as Fabric bound, I tried to do it with just buttons and the fabric strip we got but it wouldnt hold, so I ended up putting in some metal binding and then using the fabric and buttons on the top and bottom....walaa fabric binding.
This is my recipe:
Ingredients
3 little people
2 sets of parents
5 days a week
a plan 3 keep them busy
a little bit of spoiling
a whole lotta love
send them home
repeat often
So here is my project for this leg of the race:

Rusty Pickle Amazing Race - Leg 5

So Rusty Pickle led us to A Million Memories site....thanks Erin for figuring out that clue and texting me the project since I was at the beach...gave me time to brainstorm, too bad I left the camera card in the computer at home!!! Best laid plans and all that ;) So I came up with another idea....only to fail at that one too, but then I remembered paint is always your friend, and I love how it came out!!! We used the Heart and Wings album and the Pirate Princess line. Just hope its enough, the girls albums are over the top amazing and stunning!!! So here ya go, my Wings album.....very image heavy :)
