Charity 1 in 48 class at NYC Scraps
I have taken classes at NYC Scraps before and loved them. Hillary Heidelberg creates a sketch for you every 48 hours for a duration of time and you create with them. I credit this class with pushing me to be what I am. She gave the tools and the prompts and I just went with it, and I learned alot. Well she is doing a 2 week class right now, and the proceeds from the registration which was by donation, is going to Save the Children. This time she decided to offer digital templates in addition to the sketches so I decided to do this all digital! Its great practice! Anyway here are some of the digital layouts I have done so far:

September Creations for Paper Posies
Got a late start this month due to some manufacturer delays but it was a great kit none the less, and here are my creations:
This is an altered 12 x 12 canvas that I did....and the instructions too!!
Altered Canvas
September Kit Project
By Julie Walton
Supplies needed:
Stretched canvas
Paint – color of your choice
Modge Podge or some other liquid adhesive
Chipboard
Patterned paper
Choice of embellies – I used buttons
First off, decide where you want your chipboard to go on your canvas, make up a design that you like. Remember to layer the chipboard; it makes for some great dimension! As part of my design I chose to cover one of the chipboard arrows with pattered paper, it gave it a pop of color. This arrow that has been covered with paper is not adhered to the canvas until after the canvas is painted so remember to leave space for it to be added later. An optional step would be to apply a glossy top coat on this paper covered arrow. When you are satisfied with the placement you will adhere the chipboard directly to the canvas, or in the case of layers, chipboard to chipboard to canvas. I used Modge Podge generously across the entire back of the chipboard and then pressed to the canvas.
Once the adhesive is dry you are ready to paint!! Paint the entire canvas, sides and all, and go right over the chipboard. This is going to give you some tone on tone dimension. I did have to give it several coats of paint to get the coverage the way I wanted.
When the paint is dry you are ready to decorate!! I put the paper covered arrow in its spot, adhering it with my modge podge. Now you can add your embellies, a title, or whatever you wish!
I am doing a series of 12 x 12 canvases using all sorts of techniques for my bedroom wall. They are really fun to work with. Hope you will give it a try!!

2nd Reveal for Treasured Scrapbooking - September
I have really had a blast with this kit, made 2 altered items AND a card...I never do cards!!!
These are my favorite photos of Jeromy from last fall:
We went to Simi Valley days on Friday night and the kids did the big slide...together!! Not a great shot but with no flash and night time not so bad either, kind of gives it a great look I think.
I am so not a card maker but I did whip this up real quick for my DD this morning!!
I loved this piece of paper, and it matches my bedroom so I mounted it to a 12 x 12 canvas with modge podge. I painted the canvas first. Before I mounted the paper I cut around some of the flowers and bent them out, I also added some stickles, gotta love some bling! Added a title and modge podged the whole thing. Added some flowers and gems and now its hanging in my bedroom!! I plan on doing a series of these.
A little detail shot:
In the kit this month was a cool little mini album in a cute little box. I painted it, messy, added some paper, a monogram, a title and I accordianed some paper for the top.
A deatil shot
And in the inside I adhered the first page to the lid and the last page to the bottom, they are all attached. I printed pictures on white bazzill cardstock in chocolate, added a few sub titles and it was done.
