New from ViVa Artistry - Herbarium

ViVa Artistry released a new kit today at Pixel Canvas. I had a lot of fun working with Herbarium. This is the preview:

Woo Hoo.....I got a layout picked up for PUB!!!!

So I will have a layout published in the NOvember 2009 issue of Scrapbook Trends!!! It was the one I did for "Minimalism", one sheet of cardstock and one sheet of patterned paper...and it features Jeromy!!!!

Rusty Pickle Finalist!!!!

I made the finalist list for the Rusty Pickle Amazing Race for a spot on their design team!!!!! So excited...and one of my scrapping buddies made it too, congrats Beth!!!

This layout was done as a challenge for minimalism....I used one sheet of patterned paper and one sheet of cardstock...thats it!!

Woo Hoo...I made the Creative Team For ViVa Artistry!!!!

I got a chance to use a kit from ViVa Artistry when I was on the Site CT for a Digital Store and instantly fell in love!!! I love love love the rich colors, the artsy feel, the unique elements.....and they have tons of masks, even personalized ones, and word art!! I feel extremely lucky to have been chosen for their team!! For my first kit I chose Sibling Joy and these are the two layouts I have done....so far ;)

The Treasured Scrapbooking DT Coordinator is...........ME!!!!

Trevor's Tracks by Inkin Creations

My designer friend Erika, who is Inkin' Creations and sells at Bouquet of Pixels, made a digital kit for me!!! I gave her the idea of 'training wheels', because I have 3 grandkids that are 5, almost 4 and almost 3, who have or are learning how to ride, tricycles, bicycles and even motorcycles! My inspiration came from some photos from Easter day this year. Jenna, the oldest has a motorcycle with training wheels that she is learning to ride. Trevor, her younger brother (2) wanted to sit on it, so Daddy put him on.......and he revved it and took off!!! Didnt expect that. Luckily Daddy was able to catch up to him.
So this is the kit Erika designed for me...and I bet there are alot of you that would love it too....so go pick it up over at Bouquet of Pixels - Trevors Tracks

As soon as she uploaded it, I downloaded it and created these three layouts.....all in one night! Crazy I know, but I love it...and them....and this kit!! Thanks Erika!

Digi Town Square Inagural Blog Train

Digi Town Square opened it's doors on the 1st May 2009 as a place where designers from all sites and scrappers of all styles could come together to share their love of scrap, discuss new trends and advertise their latest and greatest - be it a kit or a layout.

In the spirit of sharing a bunch of members from many different sites have come together to bring you the All Together Blog Train and you should have arrived here from TheMommason Blog.

RIP Sierra

I held my puppy today in my arms when she went to sleep for the final time. She was 8. Thank you to my daughter Katy for making me see that I needed to hold her as she passed, I will never forget and I will be ever so grateful she took the time to make me understand how important it was, for both of us. Thank You to my daughter Kari for going with me and being there for me, I needed it, I knew it was difficult for her but I needed it. Thank you to my daughter Rachel for helping me make the decision to bring Sierra home 8 years ago. Thank you to Valley Vet Clinic in Simi Valley, Dr Novy, for giving her every possible chance, above and beyond, Dr. Kramer in particular for being there with me when it was as hard for him as it was for me, and Dr Kriensky for caring enough to pass on the situation to those who could and did do everything in their power to allow her a chance to heal.

Route 101 by Viva Artistry

I found the greatest kit to work with at Digital Candy by Viva Artistry called Route 101. OMGosh I cannot believe how gorgeous this kit is, the papers are like artists canvas's and the alpha is so perfect! There is even a sand border overlay that is amazing! I love this kit and the first layout I did with it is my new fav!!! In fact so far I have done 2 layouts from our beach trip on Saturday and i love them both!!! The photos are not extractions...I just blended them into the paper!!!
