Whoa!!! A digi page...........

I have not digi scrapped for the whole month, maybe longer. Searching for that balance between paper and digi, I will find it!! My digi teams have probably dumped me by now ;)
Anyway, tonight I accomplished one layout!!! I used various kits by ViVa Artistry, including Reflection, Rt 101, and a mask from Raindrops. I was attempting photo merging in this layout, I am a little rusty, oh no!!
My daughters, and their mates, all went on a camping trip to June lake this month and....they took my cameras!! So I got pics!!

Some Rusty Pickle Projects

Man have I gotten into the swing of things with my paper scrapping....I cant stop, LOL!!! I altered a couple of Comp Books, one for Jenna...she starts Kindergarten this month and one to give as an RAK for a challenge that I am doing during the Week long Crop...X Marks the Crop...at Treasured Scrapbooking.
This is Jenna's book, I used the Candyland line here:


And this is the RAK for X Marks the Crop - a Pirate themed week long crop.....Pirate Princess was perfect for this!!

Ventura County Fair

Started today!!! On a whim I decided to take all 3 kids and go, no blanket, no paci and no stroller....brave or crazy???!!! I do have to say though that it could not have gone better!!! No traffic either way and the fair was less crowded first thing this morning. Temp was a perfect 75 and it was $1 day so it only cost us a dollar to get in....parking was 10 though ;) No one asked to be carried and the only problem was that I didnt have 3 hands to hold, LOL! I entered 9 layouts for the fair in the scrapbook category......and I got places for all 9, woo hoo!!!! I got 4 First Place ribbons, one 2nd place ribbon, two 3rd place ribbons and 2 honorable mentions. Seven of the layouts were from Treasured Scrapbooking kits and 2 were Rusty Pickle projects. These are my fist place layouts:

Designs by Helly

I have been playing with Helly's kits again!!! I just love the textures and elements that she uses and the colors! I had created a bunch of brag book pages for my daughter who has a very similar style to the majority of Helly's kits so thats what I used! I offered them to Helly and she was thrilled with them and is now offering them on her blog a few at a time...so if you are interested check out Designs by Helly. New from ViVa Artistry

Whew...after running that amazing race I am struggling to get my balance back between digi and paper! But I worked last night with one of ViVa Artistrys newest kits Cirque Nouveau which you can pick up at Pixel Canvas.....and its on SALE!!! I love the rich royal colors in this kit, and I was lucky enough to have gone to the circus recently and was able to do an actual circus layout!!!

This will be a six week contest. To enter, upload your very best layout into the Treasured Hunt gallery-Eligibility Entries category by 9pm (EST) Friday July 31st. The Design Team will vote and the top 25 entries will move on to compete in the contest. Following is the timeline of the contest:

After the 25 contestants are chosen, weekly challenges will be posted on Tuesdays and entries must be posted in the appropriate challenge gallery by the following Monday at 9pm (EST).

Pages will be judged on photography, creativity, originality, relativity to challenge theme and overall design. Winners for each round will be determined by the Design Team and myself.

Please pay close attention to the requirements of each challenge! Ask questions if you need clarification! Any deviation from the challenge requirements listed will result in disqualification. This is only to be fair to those who follow all of the requirements. We ask that all entries be posted only to the Treasured Scrapbooking gallery until the end of the contest or elimination.

The Hat DID fit!!!!

WOO HOO!!! I am a Rusty Pickle Chef!!!!! I did it!!!! I am so excited to start this journey, and I know that it will be the journey of a lifetime!!! I am enjoying meeting all the members of the design team and everyone involved, its a whirlwind of activity and so fun!!! Thank you to everyone who believed in me, YOU ROCK!!!!

Digi Scrapping here I come!!!

Its been at least 3 weeks since I digi scrapped!!! Oh my!!!! But its like riding a bicycle....you never forget, whew!!! I got to play with a kit by Designs by Helly called Always By My Side, available at Enchanted Studio Scraps. This is a pic of a family friend, Chloe and her Daddy, that I took yesterday at Trevors birthday party...Chloe and Trevor are 3 days apart and stayed in the same hospital room with their mommys. Anyway for some reason I always get a great shot of Chloe with her Daddy at these parties, and I always scrap them....so this is this years:

Rusty Pickle Amazing Race - Final Project

WOO HOO I finished the Rusty Pickle Amazing Race!!!!! Clue # 7 brought us over the ocean to Australia!!!! We are camped out at Scrapping Outback, check us out, we are world travelers now, LOL!!
So our project this time was:
“For your final assignment, you get to use your choice of the three remaining lines from your box of Rusty Pickle goodness… Rockin’ America, Candy Land or Under the Stars.
You will be creating a Party Ensemble with the line of your choice. Your party needs to include a sign, centerfold, party favors, invitations and thank yous. Be sure to post a link to your gallery entry on this thread.”

Starting at noon, July 7th and ending at noon, July 10th (Mountain Standard Time)

I went with the Rockin' America line and a birthday party for America, otherwise known as 4th of July. For my Centerpiece I made a cake!!! From cardboard and decorated it..hey at least it doesnt have any calories!!! My sign was done on a canvas, my invites are firecrackers, my party favors are noisemakers/shakers, which I put the kids names on and they now own them.....and I will make sure they take them home too, LOL!!
I also did the Thank You cards.

So here is my final project.....and the waiting begins!!!
