Scrap N' Art Calls for Jan/Feb

Ok ladies, here are the calls for the Jan/Feb issue of Scrap N' Art!!!
Deadline is October 15.
I want to see some familiar names there...and yes that means YOU!!!

January/February Page Calls
• Layouts & Projects showing or using snow/ice/cold
elements or photos
• Valentine’s Day layouts, cards, and projects
• Layouts and projects using the colors red and pink
• Layouts and projects that highlight New Year’s
parties and resolutions
• Layouts or projects showing unusual use of texture
• Layouts or projects featuring fun and unique ways
to use chipboard
• Circular layouts, and projects using circles and
circular elements
• Layouts with lots of journaling
The deadline for these calls is October 15th, 2008.

Goodbye Summer Camp Crop Layouts

......so far!!! I am dabbling over at Scrapbook Heaven and their challenges, its so good to do some layouts just because!!! And I used up a kit that was almost ready to go to stash, so its all good!!!

And this is Jenna with a family friend, she is so proud of this picture!!!


I know that I will do a few more of the challenges, they are quite refreshng!!

2nd Reveal for Treasured Scrapbooking - September

I have really had a blast with this kit, made 2 altered items AND a card...I never do cards!!!

These are my favorite photos of Jeromy from last fall:

We went to Simi Valley days on Friday night and the kids did the big slide...together!! Not a great shot but with no flash and night time not so bad either, kind of gives it a great look I think.

I am so not a card maker but I did whip this up real quick for my DD this morning!!

I loved this piece of paper, and it matches my bedroom so I mounted it to a 12 x 12 canvas with modge podge. I painted the canvas first. Before I mounted the paper I cut around some of the flowers and bent them out, I also added some stickles, gotta love some bling! Added a title and modge podged the whole thing. Added some flowers and gems and now its hanging in my bedroom!! I plan on doing a series of these.

In the kit this month was a cool little mini album in a cute little box. I painted it, messy, added some paper, a monogram, a title and I accordianed some paper for the top.

And in the inside I adhered the first page to the lid and the last page to the bottom, they are all attached. I printed pictures on white bazzill cardstock in chocolate, added a few sub titles and it was done.

I found a great crop at Scrapbook Heaven!!!

September 1st Treasured Scrapbooking Reveal

Its the beginning of a new month, and its SEPTEMBER!!! My second favorite month of the year.....my first is October so I am looking forward to the next few months!!! Leslie at Treasured Scrapbooking outdid herself this month,check out these kits!!!

The Treasured Hunt 2008 - Second Chance

Treasured Hunt 2008 Second Chance contest
Just do the weekly challenges anyway, post your entries in the Second Chance gallery and there will be a random drawing at the end of the contest for a very yummy prize.

I hope that you will join me in the Second Chance contest!!! (I cant really win anything because I am on the design team...but you can and I will be doing the challenges right there with you!!!

First Challenge:
Challenge requirements:
- Create a ONE page layout
Layout must include:
- felt
- scallops
- only ONE photo
- journaling....and the journaling must begin with "Today I..."
It can be as long or as short as you like but must begin with those words.

Everything else is up to you.

This is my entry into week one. I chose to do a digi layout, a real big challenge for me, and a twofer because it is also a challenge in my digi class with Jessica Sprague - Digi in Deep.
