May Projects for The Scrapping Spot

The Bo Bunny inspired kit has been a blast to work with, I am really loving the colors and textures and worked this kit to bare scraps. So let me show you what I have done!

I used a Kaisercraft tote box kit, which I altered using The Scrapping Spot May kit featuring Bo Bunny and used Helmar adhesives throughout. The Helmar Acid Free glue works great for adhering papers with a solid smooth flow, the 450 Quick Dry was great for attaching the alpha (its not going anywhere ;) I decided to make it to hold the cards that I make. I am not a card maker but I do make them now and again using scraps. My kids like to use them so I make them :)

Here a few cards I made:

and here is the holder in action:

I had a ton of fun doing layouts with the kit, the colors are so awesome to work with:

The May kit at The Scrapping Spot will be available the 1st of May.......dont be late, you wouldnt want to miss your chance ;)

April Creations!

Its been a tough month time wise for me so havent had the time I wanted to update my blog. Today however I am taking the time to share.....consider it "ME" time :)

For my Treasured Scrapbooking 15th reveal I chose to do a mini book that we got in the Add On kit, the dress form mini from Maya Road. I saw this at CHA all done up and was so happy to see it in the Add On kit so that I could play with it. I decided I would use it to document this time in my life....with 3 little ones "on my apron stings". Perfect timing I say :) Each dress form got a unique "apron", what fun this was and it was made all the more easier to accomplish with the Helmar line of adhesives, and good news for you, Treasured Scrapbooking carries most of the line ;)

Helmar Adhesives were a life saver with the application of the papers to the chipboard (Acid Free Glue) they went on so smooth, and the 450 Quick Dry along with Liquid Scrap Dots helped tremendously with applying the materials for the skirts!

Well I have more to share but....duty calls, off to read a couple books to my little guy ;)

More later ;)

I had a Party with Helmar and Treasured Scrapbooking!!!

What a beautiful combination Helmar adhesives and Treasured Scrapbooking make!!! I have been working with the April kit for Treasured Scrapbooking and using several of the Helmar adhesives, Liquid Scrap Dots, Textured Effects, Zap Dots, Gemstone glue, and 450. I have to say that the right adhesives make alot more possible when scrapping, especially when it comes to dimension and texture, and Helmar doesnt disappoint.

With my first layout from the April TS kit I used rub ons that came with the kit add on, loved the contrast between the brown and turquoise but didnt like the flatness of them so I took a pom pom and applied Textured Effects with a pouncing action so I got raised little peaks and let it dry like that. Since I didnt mix in any paint or color I got clear peaks when it dryed and then I just added a touch of glitter to the tips, I have to say it came out really awesome!!

Here is a little close up of the detail on the rubons:

I used the liquid scrap dots here:

My next layout is for my challenge for the month. For this layout I used items from the main April kit and items from the April Add on kit. My challenge this month is to create a layout and use a single letter or number as its title. I used Zap Dots, Liquid Scrap Dots, 450 and Gemstone Glue on this layout:

You can check out this challenge HERE along with a bunch more great challenges presented by our super talented Design Team and Treasured Member of the month.

The April kit, Regal Romp-, is in the TS store today, dont let it get away....last months kit sold out :)
