WOO HOO.....Designs by Helly!!!

I have been invited to join the Designs by Helly Creative Team!!! I was introduced to her kits through my Creative Team work with Bouquet of Pixels and have worked with many of her kits already at BoP, so I was very excited when I saw she was doing a CT call! To say that I LOVE her kits is an understatement, they are gorgeous and I have made many layouts that are amoung my favorites from her kits. She is by far one of my most favorite designers!

You can see her kits at Bouquet of Pixels!
And here are a few of the layouts I have done with her kits!

My CHA badge work of art!

So as you walk through CHA, especially for days on end, lots of things start getting attached to your badge ;). Alot of make n takes are geared towards them, plus you end up with lots of pins and stuff. So each one is totally unique and are a great keepsake. I have two now and they bring back such good memories!
Here is mine:

What does yours look like?

My thoughts about CHA this year.

I really enjoyed myself. I loved playing with everyone and meeting new people and people I know from online. The show was smaller than last year and a little less crowded, which is fine with me ;)

Things I loved:
Websters Pages - these papers are beyond beautiful!
KaiserCraft - a real class act, loved the experience, loved the products, and I love their prices.
Fancy Pants - awesome new product, love the multi media albums and the windows!
My Little Shoebox - a great little company with awesome papers, great textures and gotta love those tiny alpha's in 12 colors!
JillyBean - awesome new company! Again, really awesome papers and the alphas are too cute.
Tim Holtz - love anything he does, anything he has! Must have his tiny stapler, smaller than the mini staplers out there and so user friendly. Love the distressing hammer, must have that and will not ever have nice round shiny brads anymore!! And his needle piercer tool, it retracts...gotta have it!! And the glossy accents glue...dries on paper in 5 seconds....so cool. And those alcohol ink pens, no doubt about those! I could go on and on here, but just know that was a great experience for me!

There were a few bad experiences.....like a rude host of a make n take for a major manufacturer, and a group of women who just pushed their way in front of you and were everywhere you went every day.........I'll leave it at that ;)

One thing I really loved was meeting Vicki from SNA and who does digital kits under the name A Work In Progress, she is honestly the nicest person ever, loved her!!! She lives in England so this was a very special moment! Hi Vicki!!

It was a great experience for sure! Now if I could get to go when the other Treasured Scrapbooking girls go in the summer, that would be icing on the cake!!!!

CHA....day 2....some more top picks!

GASP!!! I only took 15 pictures today!!! I was busy with some really fun make n takes today so I wasnt taking pictures. But I did find a few fun things that I did not see on Sunday.
I spent some time in the Fancy Pants booth, and they have these yummy new book kits that are multi media, felt, chipboard, transparancys acrylic....all in one book kit and they retail for just 12.95, so awesome.

And my second pick is from My Little Shoebox.....love those tiny alpha's??? These are to die for.....12 colors!!! Yes 12!! And the fonts vary for each letter, great feel, little bit of a glossy look/feel to them. Definate must have!!

And one more from Fancy Pants - Windows to scrap in!

Inauguration Day Alpha

Anita Stergiou created a fantastic alphabet in honor of our day of change in America, Inauguration day Alpha, all glittery and stars and stripes! What a great alphabet to have in your stash for those patriotic layouts!

I used it on my Week 3 layout for my 365 day project:

Treasured Scrapbooking January kit Reveal

A little late, but well worth the wait ;)
This awesome kit is available at Treasured Scrapbooking and is Kit #1

I altered that cute little book, by adding the spiral binding and altering the cover. That beautiful bird image was too cute to cover up so I cut it out and used it in my design. I am going to store cards I have received from my scrappy friends, and to note addresses so I can send things to them too!
And these are the layouts I created with the kit. I still have a ton left over to create with, this kit is packed!
